Easter reveals the nature of God’s love – stretching, touching, surprising, opening our mind, heart and spirit.
led by Ruth Flockhart & Janet Lake
As together we contemplate the manner in which Jesus lived the last week of his life, we may be drawn into a deeper knowing of the nature of divine love: the paradox of strength in humility, inner peace in the midst of conflict, the stretching, suffering of the cross, and the birthing of new life through death into resurrection.
We will explore the ‘stretch marks’ of the spiritual challenge
to ‘be in the world but not of it’. Janet will lay down a mandala, to help us explore how our human experiences, when fully engaged with, are gateways to our personal transformation.
We will be reflecting on the wounds Jesus experienced during his passion, how he bore them and some of the words he spoke, revealing how the divine gift of new life comes through death.
This retreat will include some inputs and resources from Janet and Ruth each day. There will be times of group meditation, sharing, and silence; with time set aside too, for individual reflection, rest or walks
